COFFEE TALK with Simon Tsang – Hair Stylist

From a solitary act of service to a thriving community movement, the journey of Simon Tsang is a testament to the power of rediscovered passion. Following his baptism in 2022, Simon returned to his roots as a hairstylist with a new mission: to provide volunteer haircut services to those in need. What began as a one-man effort in a nursing home quickly grew into a calling that demanded a larger team.

Driven by a desire to include others, Simon leveraged social media to recruit volunteers, opening his doors to anyone eager to learn, regardless of their experience. This inclusive approach sparked a wave of generosity, growing his team to nearly 30 members and allowing him to mentor over 50 students in the art of haircutting.

Today, Simon’s impact extends far beyond nursing homes, reaching senior centers, church hubs, and the streets of Sham Shui Po. By bringing essential grooming and compassionate care directly to the community, he has turned a simple haircut into a bridge for love and connection. Looking forward, Simon aspires to formalize this mission into a nonprofit organization, proving that it is never too late to pursue a passion that creates meaningful, lasting change in the lives of others.
